Clubhouse remodel update as of March 4, 2011:
We have been working hard on the clubhouse remodel. So far we have removed everything and started the redecorating. All wallpaper was removed and all the walls were skimcoated smooth. All bath fixtures and kitchen fixtures were removed. The old fireplace was removed. The bar was torn out to enlarge the kitchen area. Now it's time to rebuild and replace everything.
This week we finished putting ceramic tile on the walls in the bathroom. The flooring will be next.
We installed the fireplace and put new ceramic tile on the hearth which we made smaller.
We also removed some of the wood shelving, making room for a 55"tv for the wall to the left of the fireplace.
We also put in the new kitchen cabinets. We will be putting in a 26" wall tv just to the left of these cabinets for viewing from the bar.
We removed the low ceiling above the kitchen to open this area up, and we will have two hanging lights from the ceiling over the new bar area.
We also are working on putting in a new doorway that allows residents to have access to the restrooms during non-business hours during the pool season. This is a big plus that we have always wanted to fix when we remodeled. This new doorway had to be installed to keep the clubhouse secure but allow access from the back door to the restrooms.
As a result of the new door in the hallway we had to move the doorway opening to the kitchen.
